Following recent press speculation, Charles Darrow is delighted to announce, the new operators of John Gandy’s will be London Cocktail Club, a fast expanding and developing brand in the UK.
Built in the early 19th century and formerly a tailor shop, the building had been a popular public house for circa 30 years and comprises an open plan ground floor bar, first floor cocktail bar, second floor office/storage area (which is a potential trading area), commercial kitchen, and a large cellar.
Having attracted several proposals, we were delighted to agree terms with LCC, with the transaction completing swiftly.
Since the opening of its first site in Goodge Street, London in 2010, the LCC has built its brand not only on the reputations of its founders and backers — JJ Goodman, James Hopkins, Sarah Willingham and Raymond Blanc, but also on the personalities and award-winning skills of its bartenders. The backbone of the LCC is a diehard dedication to world-class drinks, which are invented by London city’s finest mixologists and fiercely curated by J Goodman, who has won fistfuls of accolades including the prestigious World’s Best Bartender 2008.
Jon Clyne, Director at Charles Darrow commented “LCC have exciting plans for the property and are planning a significant investment program before their target opening in April of 2022. This is another example of a high calibre operator putting down roots in the city”.
